November 29 in Jamaican Police History
November 29, 2007 – Assistant Commissioner Gilbert Kameka becomes the highest ranked police officer to be slain in Jamaica, when he was attacked and shot at premises in the quiet rural St. Andrew community of Irish Town. His firearm was stolen during the incident. Three men are currently being tried for his murder.
