Two Port Antonio Policemen Charged With Corruption
Sergeant Alvin Reid from the Port Antonio Police Station, who was arrested during a sting operation earlier this month and charged for breaches of the Corruption Prevention Act, has been granted bail, while a second policeman has been charged in relation to the incident. A motorist was reportedly arrested in Hanover yesterday afternoon, after he attempted to bribe a policeman.
According to police reports, at around 12:30 yesterday afternoon the policeman, who is attached to the Lucea Police Station, was on highway patrol in the vicinity of Watson Taylor Drive, when he stopped a vehicle for exceeding the speed limit. [...]
