October 20, 1944 – a bill is drafted to constitute a police federation, through which sub-officers and men of the Jamaica Constabulary Force will be able to make representations to the proper authorities in matters affecting their interests.

April 20, 1948 – The first experiment, with a new type of tropical uniform for all ranks (below that of Sergeant Major) of the Jamaica Constabulary, begins with Constable Eric Sibblies of the Franklin Town Police Station. October 13, 1937 – the annual report of the police department for the year ending December 31, 1936, states that there were 20 cases of murder reported during the year, and 23 persons arrested. There were six cases of rape, and six persons arrested.
