New Motorbikes For The Police
Over the next few weeks, the police will reportedly receive a total of 24 new Yamaha 900cc motorbikes. They will be utilised the Jamaica Constabulary Force’s Traffic Department and help to boost their mobility and monitor traffic infractions islandwide.
Just yesterday, Superintendent Marlon Dietrich (Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) transport manager) received the first batch of the bikes at the launch of the KIG Yamaha dealership on Spanish Town Road in Kingston. They are to be handed over to the Traffic Department, who will then decide how they are to be deployed and used.
The motorbikes are well-needed at this time, as the complement of operable bikes (excluding these new ones) that are currently at the traffic division is just 32.
