Police & Soldiers Launch Assault On Tivoli Gardens
Numerous gunshots and heavy explosions rang out in West Kingston from approximately 12 noon yesterday, as a large contingent of police and soldiers launched an assault on the volatile community of Tivoli Gardens, as they ramped up efforts to take back the area from gunmen, and to bring in alleged drug and gunrunner, Christopher ‘Dudus’ Coke. At least one soldier was shot and killed during yesterday’s assault. Another soldier reportedly lost a leg. An undetermined number of civilians were also killed, with many of those believed to be among the gunmen who had engaged the security forces in fierce gun battles. Many bodies are reportedly lying on the streets in Tivoli.

how does one contact a police station. trying to get in touch with the station in old harbour but i can’t find anything on the net! how strange!

Hi I am an architect with a masters degree in architecture and live and work in in the Cayman Islands. What makes me write this is the fact that i actually use to live in tivoli gardens and have felt similar agression from the police. i have my daughter linvg in tivoli now and she attended wolmers high shool and has 8 cxc and 2 a-levels and accepted to John jay university in New York to study forensic since. She is currently in some one house lying on the floor for a day and a half now. does any of those police officers that is trowing grenades in the house with kids care about any of this is she to killed by the police and then say she is causuality from the fighting? I lived in Tivoli for years and check under my name i have never been arrested or commit a crime, but the police thinks its ok to come and kill people like me living there. here is a few things to ponder all you officers, because all i see you doing is killing civilians:
how much of that 26 people you killed actually was fighting you?
you burnt the bodies before they can be identified?
you have US solder assaulthe the citizen of Jamaica, is that the way you see them treating their citizen in a similar case?
you joince the force to protect and serve the same citizen you kill! is that how you serve?
i would like to send my condolencies to all the family of the officers who died while thinking they acting as true police, but the government is the ones who should answer to your love ones killing, they created the monsters out there and they are making monsters of you too, that is why you can get nowhere with the citizen you kill them too often.
