Gunmen Launch Coordinated Attacks On Police Stations
All hell broke loose at several police stations in Kingston yesterday, as gunmen launched seemingly coordinated attacks on the stations, apparently in an effort to stymie the efforts of the security forces to apprehend Tivoli Gardens strongman, Christopher ‘Dudus’ Coke.
Four police stations came under attack – the Fletcher’s Land, Darling Street, Denham Town and Hannah Town police stations. All four police stations were sprayed with bullets, and in some instances, came under sustained gunfire during the day yesterday. Fearing for their own safety, police personnel from the Hannah Town Police Station actually abandoned the police station, and armed thugs then looted the station of computers and other equipment before hurling a petrol bomb into the building, setting it on fire (picture below). It was burnt to the ground.
