Policeman Gets 18 Months For Indecent Assault On Nine Year Old
25 year old Constable Kevin Franklin, formerly attached to the 100-Man Greater Portmore police station in St. Catherine, was sentenced yesterday in the Corporate Area Criminal Court, to 18 months at hard labour, after being convicted on three counts of indecent assault on a nine year old girl.
According to evidence presented, between July and August 2007, Franklin indecently assaulted the minor on three occasions. The matter was reported to the Centre for the Investigation of Sexual Offences and Child Abuse (CISOCA), who conducted an investigation. He had pleaded innocent to the charges.
