Responding to a police release earlier this week about 11 cases which are now being probed by the police’s Bureau of Special Investigations (BSI), the Ministry of National Security has complained that the police are dragging their feet, as hundreds of ballistics and forensic reports for cases dating as far back as 2003 remained uncollected from the Forensic Science Laboratory.

In a release that was issued to the media yesterday, the ministry appealed to the police to contact the laboratory and collect the outstanding reports. The release said that most of the reports to the Bureau of Special Investigations regarding a number of cases being pursued, were already provided by the Forensic Science Laboratory and the Legal Medicine Unit.
