Three Policemen Being Investigated For Roll In Gun Salutes
Three policemen were among nine persons who are being investigated by the Trelawny police, for their possible roll in gun salutes that allegedly took place yesterday during the funeral of 31 year old Patrick ‘Kingman’ McDonald. McDonald was allegedly a leader of the St. Catherine-based ‘Lynch Mob’ gang. He was shot and killed by unknown assailants on January 1, while leaving the popular annual Black & White Affair dance at the National Arena.
According to reports, residents of Wakefield in Trelawny complained that a barrage of gunshots were fired after McDonald was lowered into his grave. Police personnel were quick on the scene, and the three policemen were among nine persons who were held and swabbed. The police also seized five firearms (including three which belonged to the policemen who were being investigated).
