Suspended Policeman & Ex-Policeman Being Sought For St. James Murders
A policeman who is on suspension, Constable Richie Martin of a Salt Spring address, and an ex-policeman – Omar Gordon of Bogue Village – are among nine men being sought by the St. James police for questioning with regard to the recent murders of Jonathan Daley and Cecilia Sawyers-Coke. Daley and Sawyers-Coke were both shot and killed during an ongoing gang feud in the Salt Spring community in St. James recently.
All nine wanted men are said to be members of St. James’ notorious Stone Crusher gang, and are also wanted for questioning in connection with a case of wounding, the arson of several premises and the torching of a motor vehicle and sound system equipment when rampaging gunmen stormed the Salt Springs community in St. James last Wednesday (December 30, 2009).
Constable Martin is said to be of medium build, black complexion and sports a Mohawk hair style. He is known to frequent Salt Spring, Bogue Village, Coral Gardens, Rhyne Park, and Ironshore in St. James.
Omar Gordon is said to be five feet 11 inches tall, medium built and of fair complexion. He frequents Salt Spring, Bogue Village, Coral Gardens, Rhyne Park, and Ironshore in St James and Mines in St. Ann.
The Police have requested that the men turn themselves in at the Montego Bay Criminal Investigation Bureau or that if anyone has knowledge of their whereabouts, that they please contact Crime Stop at 311, Operation Kingfish at 811, Montego Bay CIB at 684-9315, 953-6191, the Assistant Commissioner in charge of Area One Denver Frater at 952-2417 or 119, a Hot line set up for the investigation 520-9940 or the nearest police station.
