Ten Police Dismissed
Following internal court proceedings, the police high command announced yesterday, that 10 members of the constabulary (from the ranks of constable to corporal) were being dismissed. They were dismissed for a range of offences including unprofessional conduct, bringing the office they hold into disrepute, dereliction of assigned duties and breaches of stated force policies.
Additionally, the constabulary said one sergeant and a corporal were demoted (sergeant to corporal and corporal to constable), and one sergeant was deprived of five days’ pay. Again, this was done following internal court of enquiry proceedings for unprofessional conduct.
