Portmore Police Get Seven New Vehicles
The police motor vehicle fleet for the St. Catherine South Division (Portmore) has been bolstered with the addition of five new Suzuki motor cars and two Ford Ranger pickups.
According to Superintendent Marlon Nesbeth, head of the St. Catherine South Police Division, the vehicles will work to the betterment of policing in Portmore as they are new, and will help with regard to patrols and operations in areas where drugs, guns and murder are common place. The vehicles will be used strictly in Portmore (unless there is an emergency elsewhere), and have reportedly been placed in zones – five zones for each car and two zones for the two pickups.
