Motorist Arrested After Attempting To Bribe Policeman
A motorist was reportedly arrested in Hanover yesterday afternoon, after he attempted to bribe a policeman.
According to police reports, at around 12:30 yesterday afternoon the policeman, who is attached to the Lucea Police Station, was on highway patrol in the vicinity of Watson Taylor Drive, when he stopped a vehicle for exceeding the speed limit. While the officer was issuing a ticket, the driver allegedly attempted to bribe him with $1,000 for him to overlook the infraction. The driver was subsequently arrested and taken into custody.
The identities of both the driver and the policeman have not been revealed.
