Las May Cartoon – Derrick Smith Scoffs At Reneto Adams For Commissioner
Today’s Las May cartoon in the Jamaica Gleaner newspaper, stars a retired, gun-toting, Senior Superintendent of Police Reneto Adams, and former National Security Minister, Derrick Smith. The cartoon references statements that Smith made recently at the Jamaica Labour Party’s Area Council One meeting in Denham Town, West Kingston, where he said that appointing Reneto Adams to the post of Commissioner of Police of Jamaica would not be a good decision.
