Eight Police Retired In The Public’s Interest

Eight members of the Jamaica Constabulary Force have reportedly been forced to retire in the public’s interest. Karl Angell, the police force’s communications director, confirmed yesterday that the Police Service Commission (PSC) issued the correspondences two to three weeks ago, however information about the names of the police officers and the divisions that they were attached to, have not been released as yet. No information has also been forthcoming just yet, as to why the policemen have been forced to retire.

This news comes just months after several police personnel in St James were recommended to retire in the public’s interest, because of their alleged role in the Montego Bay fake cop / lottery scam matter. It has not been confirmed whether or not these St. James police officers were indeed retired.
