Citing frustration with Jamaica’s high crime rate, Commissioner of Police, Rear Admiral Hardley Lewin, has reportedly resigned. He had held the position for approximately two years. There has been no official confirmation of his resignation at this time, and as recently as last week, Lewin has denied repeated rumors and claims that he was leaving the Jamaica Constabulary Force to take up a position with the police force in Bermuda.
