Another Policewoman’s Firearm Stolen
Just days after a female police officer was reportedly robbed of her service firearm in Portmore, St. Catherine, yet another has been robbed of her firearm.
According to reports, the policewoman and her male companion – 43 year old Andrew Nelson of Mount Pellier, St. Thomas – were driving in his Dodge Ram motor truck along the Portmore Toll Road, when he stopped along the road and came out of the vehicle. While he was standing outside the vehicle, four men reportedly came up and shot him.
The gunmen then reportedly robbed the policewoman of her handbag, service revolver and 26 rounds of ammunition. She managed to escape while the gunmen were forcing the wounded Nelson back into the truck. His body was found the following day, slumped over the front seat of the abandoned truck at Twickenham Close.
