2nd Anniversary Of Murder Of ACP Gilbert Kameka

Today, November 29, marks the second anniversary of the murder of Assistant Commissioner of Police Gilbert E. Kameka. Kameka became the highest ranking member of the constabulary force to be murdered here in Jamaica, when he was shot dead on November 29, 2007 at premises in Irish Town, St. Andrew where he had reportedly gone for a secret intimate rendezvous with a woman. The men accused of his murder where convicted recently, with one being sentenced to death by hanging.

A memorial for Kameka was placed in today’s Jamaica Observer newspaper, and we’ve scanned it and featured it below.
