Dear Editor,

It has long been said, some may even say, long been known, that some members of the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) engage in illegal activities. The recent statements by ACP Les Green which might suggest that some of our slain police officers have been killed because of their ‘supposed’ involvement in illegal activities have understandably received mixed reviews. I agree with your editorial (October 28), that in so far as his comments may have been viewed as being somehow related to the murder of a specific policeman, he can and perhaps should apologise for any hurt caused, primarily to his relatives and close friends … more
