Following up on its competitor, the Jamaica Observer, coming to the defence of Assistant Commissioner of Police Les Green with regard to his war of words with Police Federation chairman Sergeant Raymond Wilson, the Gleaner newspaper, in its editorial today, has come out strongly in defence of Green as well.

The editorial begins … “MAYBE THERE is a case to be made that Les Green was a tad insensitive. However, the police federation is way over the top in asking for Mr Green’s resignation. It would be of no value to Jamaica to see the back of Les Green at this time,” … see the full editorial here.
