Investigators from the Major Investigation Task Force reportedly have in custody a man who is suspected of being involved in the murder of Constable Georgette Collymore in Lawrence Tavern in August.

The suspect, whose name has not yet been released, has so far been charged with shooting with intent and illegal possession of a firearm following a shoot-out with the police in the Cassava Piece area of St. Andrew recently. During the shoot-out, he reportedly fled, leaving behind the policewoman’s service pistol that was taken from her when she was gunned down.
