Policeman Shot – Could Lose Leg
A police corporal was reportedly shot three times in the leg yesterday afternoon, when he and one of his colleagues were ambushed by gunmen in a robbery attempt on premises on Gilmore Drive off Molynes Road in Kingston. Doctors are trying to save the leg, but he could end up losing it.
The incident reportedly happened shortly after 4 p.m. yesterday, when the two policemen went to a Gilmore Drive address to inspect a car that was advertised for sale. While there however, two armed men ambushed the cops. They disarmed one of the policemen, and the corporal pulled his weapon and engaged the gunmen in a shoot out. He was shot three times.
The gunmen escaped with his colleague’s gun.
