Police Inspector Dies In Motor Vehicle Accident
Inspector Joseph Vaughn, of the Mandeville Police Station, died yesterday as a result of injuries that he sustained during a motor vehicle collision along the Kingsland main road in Manchester.
According to police reports, at about 2.15 in the afternoon, the Inspector was traveling towards Mandeville in a motor car, when he collided with a truck that was traveling in the opposite direction. Eyewitnesses reported that a piece of metal which was dislocated from the truck pierced into the driver’s side of the Inspector’s vehicle, killing him on the spot.
Vaughn had been a member of the Jamaica Constabulary Force for the past 30 years.

Oh how I miss you everyday Joseph… I cannot stop thinking about you and what a loving soul you have been to me and your family all your life. My life will never,ever be the same without you. Jospeh you are gone too soon, but will NEVER, EVER be forgotten.
