Havendale/ Meadowbrook Citizens’ Association Donates Scooters To Constant Spring Police
Yesterday, the Havendale / Meadowbrook Citizens’ Association donated two Sinsky scooter motorcycles to the Constant Spring Police Station – in an effort to help strengthen their patrolling capabilities and to help forge a strong partnership between residents and the police. The scooters present a comfortable and quick way in which to patrol the communities without the need for a car, and will be used mainly in the daytime – as this is when most of the break-ins and robberies seem to occur.
The scooter donations are basically a response to to crime wave which has been affecting both communities since late last year. They were purchased through donations made (at meetings and other ventures) by area residents.
Plans are reportedly afoot to purchase motor vehicles, as well as cellular phones to further bolster communication with the cops.
