Police Being Investigated For Deadly Gun Salute @ Dance
The police’s Bureau of Special Investigations is reportedly investigating the circumstances surrounding the death in the wee hours of Saturday morning (August 1) of a man who was allegedly shot in the back of his head by one of a group of policemen who were doing volleys of gun salutes at a pre-Independence dance. The man reportedly died on the spot. Another man was also shot and injured during the incident which took place in Salmon Town, Cross Keys, Manchester.
Reports indicate that the accused policeman was attached to the Cross Keys police station, and has since been ordered confined to barracks at Mandeville police station.
