Help Comes For Family Of Dead Policeman
The family of Constable Phillip Harris, a policeman who died in a motor vehicle accident three years ago while on duty, is yet to receive any money or assistance from the Government, however they are now getting help from the family of a policeman (Sergeant Errol Brown) who was killed in December 2007.
Harris’ son Renaldo, is now in high school, and under the initiative of Assistant Chaplain Courtney Walters and Corporal Wayne Wallace, the plight of the Harris family was identified, and Sergeant Brown’s family, who recently launched an education fund for such situations, has come to their assistance.
Renaldo was recently presented an initial J$35,000 and a commitment to help him for the rest of his three years in high school from the relatives of Brown.
