District Constable Accused Of Breaking 9-Month Old Son’s Leg
42 year old district constable Stenneth Lampart, was arrested recently, and hauled before the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate’s Court on charges of assault and child abuse – stemming from allegations that he beat and broke the leg of his 9-month old child.
The child’s leg was reportedly broken in two places and was at home for five days with the broken limb, and only received medical attention after the police were called in by Lampart’s 25 year old son. The son also claimed that he (Lampart) was always beating up the children.
In court however, Lampart denied the allegations, and stated that he was a good dad and had witnesses to verify this claim. He was however remanded in custody until next Monday (August 31), by which time he is to secure the services of an attorney at law.
