Glen Bromfield, owner of the Medallion Hall Hotel in Kingston, announced yesterday the launch of a fund to support the children of police officers who are killed in the line of duty. The fund will be named in honor of recently retired head of the Constabulary Communication Network (CCN) -  Superintendent Ionie Ramsay-Nelson – and the announcement was made at a farewell luncheon that was being held for her.

Bromfield plans to make an annual donation of $50,000 to the Ionie Ramsay-Nelson fund.
