DPP Rules That Arrested Policemen Be Charged
Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP), Paula Llewelyn, yesterday ruled that four policemen (including an Assistant Superintendent) who were arrested earlier this week in connection with an alleged 2004 abduction, be charged.
However, the exact nature of the charges are not clear as yet, and the DPP has not divulged much at this time, except to say that the evidence warrants that they be charged. It is expected however that the policemen will be interrogated before any charges are actually laid against them.
