Toddler Kills Brother With Policewoman’s Gun?
The two year old nephew of a policewoman (assigned to the Clarendon Special Squad), reportedly used her service pistol (which was under a pillow at their house) to shoot and kill his five-year-old brother at their home in Clarendon. The reportedly incident occurred just after midday while the children were at home in the community of Glenmuir, just on the outskirts of May Pen.
According to media reports, the boys were in her room when the two-year-old took the weapon (a Glock), pointed it at his brother and shot him in the face. The injured boy was rushed to the May Pen Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The aunt was reportedly away from home at the time, training for the upcoming annual police sports day. She is said to be undergoing counseling a this time, and there have been whispers of the possibility of her facing charges (negligence?, accessory to murder?) as a result of the incident.
