Policeman Arrested in Connection with Missing Girl
Constable Michael McDonald of the Elleston Road Police Station, and a woman of a St. Mary address, were both arrested yesterday in connection with the disappearance of 15 year old Jhaneel Gouldbourne who was allegedly kidnapped just outside her home in Harbour View in October of last year. The two were picked up by members of the Major Investigation Task Force.
The woman is said to be the girlfriend of another policeman (Rushon Hamilton) who had been charged with carnally abusing Gouldbourne. She had previously been charged with attempting to pervert the course of justice but it was dropped. The police are reporting that further evidence has emerged, hence her arrest.
