Airport Police to be Searched?
Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) members assigned to the Norman Manley International Airport are reportedly unamused about plans to have them searched (by members of the Port Security Corps) when leaving from or arriving at work.
The new security measures were scheduled to commence earlier today, but some policemen view the new requirement as unacceptable, unwarranted and unprecedented, and have indicated that they will not allow the Port security guards to search them. Some have said that theĀ Constabulary Force Act prohibits them from being searched by civilians. More details on this development to be provided soon.
