Police Vehicle Needed in Balaclava
Everton Fisher, PNP Councillor for the Balaclava Division of North East St. Elizabeth, has reportedly written to the Ministry of National Security, urging that the single broken down motor vehicle for that Division be replaced as soon as possible.
Police personnel at the Balaclava Police Station have been without use of the vehicle for some time now, and are forced to rely on the Shiloah police for help in their investigations and routine activities. The situation has been made even more urgent because of a sudden surge in criminal incidents in the area in recent times.
Councillor Fisher has however praised the Balaclava police for their anti-crime efforts (including increased patrols at nights) despite the absence of transportation.
