Cop Killers to be Tried on April 20
The three men who were implicated in the November 2007 murder of Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Gilbert Kameka, are to be tried on April 20.
All three – Massinissa Adams, Kemar Dawkins and Rohan Townsend – were set to be tried in the Home Circuit Court yesterday, however their lawyers asked for an adjournment in order for them to peruse additional files that were served on them late last week.
ACP Kameka is the highest ranking member of Jamaica’s constabulary to be murdered. Recently, 19 year old Tina-Gaye McGowan – a woman who was implicated as an accessory in Kameka’s murer – was given a suspended three year sentence for her role in his death.

why is this taking so long? what is really happening in our forces? is internal foulplay to be blamed for such prolonged case? why are the security forces and law officials drawing this case out? the world is following up on how jamaica handles such a presedence. jamaica remember, one is innocent until PROVEN guilty.
