The two policemen – Constable Andre Hare and Corporal Audley Lawrence – who are charged with the murder of the son of a popular dancehall deejay – Spragga Benz – were yesterday granted bail in the sum of J$300,000 each when they appeared in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate’s Court.

A third policeman who is charged with assauly occasioning bodily harm (for allegedly slapping a witness in the face) was also granted bail in the sum of J$10,000.

The case is set to continue on December 11.
