Both!! Concerned Daughter is totally correct regarding training. But in some –man y — instances, it is not just a question of training,or lack thereof. The very police are in cahoots with what is coming down — criminal, illicit and surreptitious activities — or being transpired in the respective communities or the neighborhoods. So, as a consequence, they deliberately divulge the source of the information regarding suspicious activities placing the lives of concerned citizens and properties at risk in terms of vicious and deadly repercussions. Another side to this issue, undoubtedly, is that the Force is also peopled with many stupid policemen/women who do not understand that certain types of information is —should be — classified until declassified by the rightful authorities/legal procedures etc., within the Force.Certainly, the JCF needs to administer the flow of information in a more professional manner, espcially, if they are interested in getting the support of respective individuals and communities across this besieged and beleaguered nation.
